Interacting with Artwork
Artwork you can interact with will feature a hand symbol on the label. Pay attention to specific instructions on the label for each artwork. If an artwork does not have this symbol, please observe from a distance.
More ways to engage with the exhibition:
- Have a discussion with yourself and others about the artwork. Try asking these questions:
- What’s going on in this artwork?
- What do you observe that makes you say that?
- What more can you find?
- Ask for a tour from a student educator. Our student staff is readily available to assist you during your visit, and can answer questions you may have.
- Grab a stool and practice your drawing skills! Please avoid using permanent inks such as pens, markers, and paint. Ask a student educator about borrowing supplies, such as a pencil, paper, clipboard, and/or stool.
- Observe how others interact with the work and reflect: are you surprised, confused, curious?
Photography
Visitors may take photos and videos for personal use only with cell phones and hand-held cameras. Please request permission via email to use professional equipment (such as professional cameras, tripods, lights, etc) from a staff member prior to your visit.
